Biography 

Prof. Dr. Steffen Eisenhardt is the chair of the Department of Plastic and Hand surgery at the University of Freiburg Medical Centre, Freiburg, Germany.

He is a Heisenberg-Professor of the German Research Foundation and Professor of Reconstructive Microsurgery at the Medical Faculty of the University of Freiburg.

His clinical focus lies on reconstructive microsurgery with a particular interest in facial reanimation surgery for patients suffering from facial paralysis, treatment of soft tissue sarcoma and extremity reconstruction in trauma and tumor patients and autologous breast reconstruction.

His scientific work has led to new treatment and diagnostic algorithms for facial paralysis patients and sarcoma patients.
