BAPRAS promotes innovation in teaching, learning and research in order to advance education in all aspects of plastic surgery, and to develop the discipline further.
From the beginning, BAPRAS has existed to improve the training and education of new and established plastic surgeons, and of allied medical professionals whose work involves plastic surgery techniques. Ongoing professional development is crucial to our individual and collective progression, and BAPRAS takes pride in providing world-class learning opportunities to anyone seeking to improve their understanding and skills in plastic surgery.
In this section you will find details of plastic surgery educational events taking place in the UK and internationally.
BAPRAS' teaching and learning programmes are extensive and varied. We have a well established Advanced Educational Courses programme and an e-learning programme, to engage further with those wishing to deepen their surgical knowledge, as well as two scientific meetings per year, and courses aimed specifically at students and nurses.
In addition, we have details on awards, grants and fellowships available to help support educational and professional development, as well as information on careers and training in plastic surgery.
These developments, and all other BAPRAS educational courses and activities, are overseen by our Education Committee.
