Reena Agarwal is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at University Hospitals of Leicester with a special interest in hand surgery, skin cancer and burns. She was an East Midlands representative to BAPRAS council and a Regional Specialty Professional Advisor for RCS (England) from 2018-2022. She is currently a College Advisory Appointments Committee Assessor for RCS (England).
  

She is a Training Programme Director for East Midlands Plastic Surgery, a SAC member with liaison role to North east deanery and starting as an examiner for FRCS (plastic surgery) from March 2024.

She is also education lead for specialist surgery in her trust, lead for Burns and Hand surgery for the department and a tutor for diploma in hand surgery. She is one of the lead trainers for the trust TIG fellowship post in hand surgery that has been approved recently.

She is committed to education and training and have successfully implemented and running a mentorship programme for Leicester medical students interested in a career in Surgery for the last 3 years and have also successfully organised an annual National BAPRAS nurses meeting for the last 6 years.
