From 2002, this prize was awarded annually to the best microsurgical orientated paper presented at the Winter Scientific Meeting.

The prize consisted of instruments from the EasyClean range to the value of £2,275.00. 

From 2009 York Medical sponsored the best microsurgical oriented paper published in JPRAS.
