Newcastle ‘The Acute Hand’ Course

Date: 01 November 2025
Location: Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4LP

Event information:

It is a 1 and ½ days course, starting at 1pm on the 6th November and would attempt to finish by 4 pm on the 7th November 2025.

It is meant to be useful for FY2, CTs and Plastic and Orthopaedic trainees who would be interested in improving their knowledge and understanding of the injuries of the hand and management thereof. Emphasis has been placed on improving the understanding of the Anatomy of the hand, identifying the injury and subsequent management of these injuries.

Initially it was a one-day course, but because this was too intense for the audience, I have extended the course over half a day, to give enough time for the material to get digested. And so that there is better interactive participation from the audience.

The course is not able to accept more than 20 delegates.

Target audience:

FY2 onwards, targeting Plastics and Orthopaedic trainees.
