The AO Trauma Blended Course—Management of Fractures of the Hand, which is planned and delivered to meet your needs using a competency-based curriculum approach and the AO's seven principles for high-quality education.

Target participants
Trauma, orthopedic and plastic surgeons, more specifically:
• From ST3 and above through to consultant level grouped according to experience
• SAS surgeons
• General trauma surgeons involved in the management of hand injuries
 
Learning objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
• Underpin patient care with sound principles of fracture stabilization
• Differentiate between injuries requiring operative and non-operative management
• Evaluate current evidence
• Review investigation results including XR, CT & MRI
• Formulate management plans for common injuries - simple to complex
• Select safe surgical approaches
• Practice reduction and fixation techniques
• Plan appropriate soft tissue management
