New opportunity: Deputy Director of e-LPRAS 2026-2027

26th May 2026

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team responsible for e-LPRAS which is the leading e-learning platform for plastic surgery. It has thousands of individual session launches, is available and suitable for use by all staff groups, and has links to JPRAS, PGVLE and other resources.

BAPRAS is inviting applications for the role of Deputy Director of e-LPRAS, its free online learning platform covering a wide range of plastic surgery topics through illustrated sessions and self-assessment modules.

Working under the guidance of the Director, the successful candidate will help raise the profile of e-LPRAS, oversee the timely review and updating of existing and new educational content, and support the development of high-quality learning resources relevant to clinical practice. The role would suit a Consultant Plastic Surgeon or senior Resident/Trainee with FRCS (Plast.) or equivalent, a strong background in undergraduate and postgraduate education, and broad subspecialty interests across the specialty.

Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication, time management, awareness of current developments in plastic surgery, and the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders including NHSE, e-Integrity and the BAPRAS secretariat. The post is offered on a consultancy basis and includes a monthly stipend, currently equivalent to 0.50.5 PA of NHS time.

Applications, including a completed application form and brief CV, should be sent to Anisa Begum at Anisa.Begum@bapras.org.uk by 1 June 2026. The post will commence on 1 July 2026.
