New opportunity: BAPRAS x APSI Fellowship 2026

APSI has kindly offered the opportunity for 10 BAPRAS trainee members (ST5 – 8) to undertake a short fellowship (1 week) in various parts of India. The selected candidates will be offered free accommodation and lodging only, for one week at individual centre, and it is hoped fellows will go on to attend the APSICON meeting from 9th December to share their experiences and submit abstracts. Please note that successful trainees will be self-funding all other expenses. They can avail to trainee rate for APSICON 2026.
Fellowship will be offered in the following centres, with 2 trainees allocated to each centre:
1) Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar - Dr Ravi Mahajan
Field of Interest: Clefts, hands, microsurgery, limb reconstruction
2) Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore - Dr S. Raja Sabapathy
Field of Interest: hand & reconstructive microsurgery, trauma reconstructive surgery & brachial plexus reconstruction
3) Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai - Dr Vinay Shankhdhar
Field of Interest: head & neck, extremity, oncosurgery, Microsurgery
4) Amritha Hospital, Kochi – Dr Subramaniam Iyer
Field of interest: Hand transplant, Head & Neck reconstruction, Lymphoedema
5) Vedant Hospital, Nashik – Dr Rajendra Nehete
Field of Interest: Microsurgery and Reconstruction
