October is breast cancer awareness month, with breast reconstruction awareness day taking place on the 21st, also known as BRA day. The aim of this annual campaign is to raise awareness of breast cancer, with breast reconstruction forming a vital component of the treatment process for breast cancer following a mastectomy.
