Breast and cosmetic implant registry is live
15th October 2016
Along with The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the Association of Breast Surgeons, today, we are pleased to welcome the launch of the Breast and Cosmetic Implant Registry, developed by a steering group with representatives from our three organisations.
We have long championed the need for a compulsory register for breast implants, to protect protect patients by providing a way to actively monitor all implants, track and trace their use and provide data for further research, which may be used to further technological advances.
We hope that all patients will consent to the submission of data on their behalf.
More information on the registry for clinicians and patients can be found here: http://content.digital.nhs.uk/bcir
