BOA Future Leaders Programme 2023/2024 - last chance to apply

The BOA are currently accepting applications for BSSH sponsored places on their Future Leaders Programme (FLP). This 12-month programme (starting in October 2023) will support 30-35 surgeons with the passion to be future leaders within their specialty and equip them with the advanced leadership skills necessary to excel. 

Deadline and Application Form
The application form can be found here and should be sent to policy@boa.ac.uk by 23:59 on Thursday 7th September 2023alongside a copy of your CV and the BOA's Equality and Diversity Monitoring Form.Please do not send your application form to the BSSH.

Applications are sent directly to the BOA where they are anonymised to reduce the potential for unconscious bias. After the deadline, the BSSH are sent the anonymous applications which are reviewed by a panel including Officers and Council members.

Eligibility Criteria 
When the programme runs, you must be either:

• a senior trainee (ST8 or above)
• a newly appointed consultant (less than 3 years)
• an SAS surgeon (FRCS Tr & Orth)
• a post-CCT surgeon

All participants must be BOA members to be eligible to take part in the programme.

Any non-members are expected to apply to become a member

If you are a Plastic Surgeon and secure a BSSH funded position on the programme, you will need to become an Associate member of the BOA and your membership fee will be funded by the BSSH.
