BAPRAS supports the government's newly launched consultation into unregulated cosmetic procedures
11th September 2023
BAPRAS strongly supports the government's decision to seek public input on regulating non-surgical cosmetic procedures. This is a crucial step toward ensuring safety and accountability in this industry.
Non-surgical cosmetic procedures, including the use of hyaluronic acid materials and botulinum toxin, offer powerful enhancements and age-related improvements. However, they come with potential complications.
The aim of regulation is to protect consumers and to ensure that those performing these procedures have the necessary medical training and expertise to handle complications effectively.
We commend the government for involving industry professionals and procedure recipients in this consultation.
